Advertisement for recruitment of Male and Female Constables in district police cadre of Punjab Police
Applications are invited from Male and female candidates for filling up of the Male and Female posts in the District Police Cadre in the rank of constable in Punjab Police. :
- Constable Male : 3726 posts in various districts of Punjab
- Constable Female : 2000 posts in various districts of Punjab
- Pay Scale : Rs. 5910-20200 Grade pay Rs. 2000/-, Age : 18-25 years as on 01/01/2011, Educational qualifications: The minimum educational qualification for recruitment is 10+2 in any discipline or equivalent. It is compulsory for each candidate to have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as compulsory/optional subject. However, in case of Ex-Servicemen the minimum educational qualification will be matriculation

For Male candidates
Minimum Height 5’ 7” (Five feet Seven Inches)
For Female candidates
Minimum Height 5’ 3” (Five feet three Inches)

Female candidates - The application form in the prescribed format filled in all aspects alongwith all the necessary documents in case of female candidates must reach the Chairman -cum-IGP Zone Recruitment Board for female (Zone concerned i.e Bathinda, Jallandhar, Border Amritsar & Patiala. up to 17/10/2011.
