Direct Recruitment of Sportspersons against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) on Western Railway For the year 2011-12.

Applications are invited from eligible sports persons for the following sports disciplines for Group ‘C’ and erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts on Western Railway as under:

Direct recruitment of Sports persons against Sports Quota on Western Railway. Applications are invited for the following Group-C and Group-D posts : 

1. Group -C : 03 posts in various sports
Pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs.2400/2800

2. Group -C : 09 posts in various sports
Pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs.1900/2000

3. Group -D : 14 posts in various sports
Pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs.1800

Age : 18-25 years as on 01/01/2012. Relaxation in age as per rules.

Only those sportspersons who have participated in the Championship after 01/04/2009 and are active will be eligible to apply for appointment against Sports Quota.

How to Apply :

Application as per format given alongside with two passport size photographs should be addressed to Sr. Sports Officer, Western Railway Sports Association, Headquarter Office, Churchgate, Mumbai-400 020.Last date of Receipt of Application is29-8-2011 up to 17.00 hrs. After this, no application will be accepted. Railway will not be responsible for any postal delay. Applications should be sent by ordinary post only in a closed envelope or to be dropped in the application box provided for the purpose in the Headquarters Office upto 17.00 hrs. on 29-8-2011 . No acknowledgmentat the counter will be given. Application sent by courier / by Registered A/D or Registered Post will not be accepted. Any discrepancy found in the application and papers submitted by the applicant will render the application invalid. On the top of the envelope “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2011-12” should be superscribed.
