A total of 180 vacancies are available at Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar, and 30 vacancies at Naval Aircraft Yard, Dabolim, Goa.
Vacancies:
- Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar: One-year and Two-year training programs are available across various trades such as Carpenter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Information and Communication Technology Maintenance, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Mechanic Diesel, Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Ref and AC, Painter, Plumber, Sheet Metal Worker, Tailor, and Welder.
- Naval Aircraft Yard, Dabolim, Goa: Training opportunities are available for trades including Carpenter, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Information and Communication Technology System Maintenance, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Plumber, Painter, Sheet Metal Worker, and Welder.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a minimum of 50% aggregate in SSC/Matric/10th Std, and for ITI (NCVT/SCVT), a minimum of 65% aggregate.
- Age: Applicants should be between 14 and 21 years of age as of April 15, 2024. Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided for SC/ST candidates.
- Physical Standards: Candidates must meet specific physical standards including height, weight, chest expansion, and eyesight requirements.
- Previous Training: Candidates who have already undergone or are undergoing apprenticeship training elsewhere are not eligible to apply.
Reservation:
- Reservation is provided for SC/ST, OBC, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Children of Armed Force Personnel/Ex-Servicemen as per government regulations.
Stipend:
- Stipend rates vary based on the duration of training and the candidate's qualifications as per Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.
