Online applications are invited from eligible Indian candidates for the recruitment of Junior Hindi Translator (JHT), Junior Translation Officer (JTO), Junior Translator (JT), and Senior Hindi Translator posts through the SSC Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2026.

SSC Translator Vacancy 2026 Details

👉 Total Vacancies: 84 (Approx.)

• Junior Translation Officer (JTO) – Central Secretariat Official Language Service (CSOLS)
• Junior Translation Officer (JTO) – Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ)
• Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) – Various Ministries/Departments
• Junior Translator (JT) – Various Ministries/Departments
• Senior Hindi Translator / Senior Translator – Various Departments

📌 All posts are Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted (Central Government Jobs)

Salary Structure

Post	Pay Level	Salary
JTO / JHT / JT	Level-6	₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400
Senior Hindi Translator	Level-7	₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

📘 Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

• Master’s Degree in:
  • Hindi with English as a subject
    OR
  • English with Hindi as a subject

OR

• Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi & English as compulsory subjects

👉 Diploma/Certificate in translation or relevant experience may be required for some posts.

🎂 Age Limit (as on 01/08/2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years

👉 Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen as per rules.

• ❌ SC/ST/PwD/Women/Ex-Servicemen: No Fee

Selection will be conducted in the following stages:

1. Paper-I (Computer Based Test)
2. Paper-II (Descriptive Translation Test)
