In addition they must also possess one of the following qualifications according to the religious denomination of the individuals :-PANDIT : Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhushan in Hindi or equivalent standard in the regional language concerned.

: For Indian domicile Gorkha candidates applying for the post of Pandit the minimum educational qualification for appointment will be same as 2 (b) (i) above. For Nepalese domicile Gorkha candidates applying for the post of Pandit the minimum educational

concerned . Those who have passed BA with Punjabi as one of the elective (Main) subject but have not done Vidwan in Punjabi are also eligible.
