• Airmen Group ‘Y’ (Sportsmen). (i) Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/ subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards (ii) should have represented Junior International meet in any of the above mentioned sports disciplines. (iii) should have attained the standard of fifth place in the Junior National Championship or Inter University Championship (iii) In the team events, the individual should have represented state in Junior National Championship and National School Tournament conducted by School Games Federation of India (SGFI) (iv) Candidates represented International / National level and achieved position but not possessing 10+2 education qualification may also apply., Age : Born between 01/07/1995 to 28/06/1999.

Age Limit - Candidates should be born between 01 July 1995 and 28 June 1999 (both days inclusive). Upper age limit on date of enrolment is 21 years.

Educational Qualification - 12th pass or equivalent from a recognized Central/ State Board of Education. Candidate should have represented State/ School in the National/ International Games/ Sports.

Physical Standards

Height - Minimum 152.5 Cms

Chest - Minimum 5 Cms expansion

Weight - Proportionate to height and age

Indian Air Force offers opportunities for unmarried male Indian citizens from all the Districts of State of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Nagaland to become an airman. The Recruitment Test for Group 'X' (Technical) Trades and Group ‘Y’ {Except Auto Technician, Ground Training Instructor, Indian Air Force (Police) and Musician} Trades will be held at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Nahar Lagun, Papumpare (Dist) (Arunachal Pradesh) from 04 November 2011 to 06 November 2011 as per the Selection Programme given below.

2. SELECTION PROGRAMME. The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7 AM onwards every day as per the details given below. Candidates reporting up to 10 AM at the Rally Venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Test.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

3. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

(a) For Group 'X' (Technical) Trades. Candidate should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 with pass marks in Matermatics and Physics with a minimum of 50% marks in overall aggregate.

OR

Should have passed a 3 years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50%

marks in overall aggregate from a Government recognised Polytechnic Institute.

(b) For Group 'Y' {Except Auto Tech, GTI, IAF (P) & Musician} Trades. Passed Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science, Arts or Commerce subjects or equivalent Vocational Courses with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

Vocational Course should be recognised by Association of Indian Universities.

OR

03 years Diploma in any stream of Engineering from a Government recognised Polytechnic/Institute.
