Applications in the prescribed format are invited from eligibile Indian Nationals for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot in  different  Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) and Zonal Railways  and other Railway organisation. Application should be sent directly to the respective RRBs / Zonal Ofifces :

Assistant Loco Pilot  : 16595 posts in different railway zones (UR-8170, SC-2695,ST-1589,OBC-4141) (Ex-SM-1648),

Qualifications : Matriculation OR its equivalent under 10+2 system & Course completed Act, Apprentice OR I.T.I. in any of the specific trades recognized by SCVT/NCVT (Fitter, Electrician, Instrumentation Mechanic, Mill Wright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mill Wright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic Radio & T.V., Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic Diesel, Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & A.C. Mechanic)  OR Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering from recognised by AICTE in lieu of I.T.I. Note : Candidates having higher Educational qualifications in the related trades/disciplines recognized by AICTE are also eligible for the posts.

Selection Process : Written Examination, Aptitude Test, Documents & Candidature Verification

Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs.1900,

Age : 18-30 years. Relaxation in age as per rules.

Application Fee : Rs.40/- for the OBC candidates only in the form of IPO / DD in favour of Assistant Secretary/Secretary/ Member Secretary/ Chairman of  concerned RRB where candidate wants to apply.
