Indian Navy invites unmarried Men and Women to join Navy as Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officer as Pilot/Observer in Aviation Cadre of Executive Branch Course Commencing - December-2013

Applications are invited from unmarried Male and Female Indian Citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer as Pilot/Observer in Aviation Cadre of Executive Branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing December 2013 at Naval Academy.

Pilot/ Observer SSC Officer  in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 grade pay Rs.5400/-

Age : Between 19 to 24 years (candidates to be born between 02 January 1990 to 01 January 1995; both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualifications : (a) A Graduate Degree in any discipline with minimum aggregate of 70% marks with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects at 10+2 level.  (b) for CPL - Graduation with 60% marks with Physics and Maths at 10+2 level.

SSC : Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.

How to Apply: Apply Online at Indian Navy website from03/04/2013 to 17/04/2013 only. Take 2  print out of  the system generated application and one copy along with relevant documents should be send to Post Box no. 02, Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi - 110023 on or before 27/04/2013.
 

DUTIES OF PILOT 
Pilot Officer For those with an aspiration to fly in the skies, the navy needs Pilots who act as airborne tactical coordinators of marine warfare. While most Navy pilots fly ship-borne helicopters and shore based maritime reconnaissance aircraft, some elite pilots also fly fighter aircraft such as Sea Harrier or Mig 29K. 

DUTIES OF OBSERVER 
Observer officer operates various state of the art equipment including sonics, sonars, radars and communication equipment. Observer officer gets an opportunity to participate in all facets of naval operations onboard the " eyes of the fleet: the maritime Patrol aircraft.
