DIRECT RECRUITMENT 

 Applications are invited in the prescribed Form from the bonafide citizens of 
India for selection of candidates for the below mentioned posts under the 
Government of Tripura:- 
Item No.01: 09 (nine) (UR-02 & ST-07) posts of Assistant Professor (Group-‘A’ Gazetted) Institute of Advanced Studies in Education under Education (Higher) Department, Govt. of Tripura in the scale of pay of Rs. 15,600- 39,100/- with AGP of Rs. 6,000/- per month in the subjects /disciplines as mentioned below :

Educational Qualification: (A) A Master’s Degree in the relevant subject (Science/ Humanities) with 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from a recognized University. 
(B) M.Ed. with at least 50 % marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from a recognized University OR M.A in Education with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from a recognized University with B.Ed. having at least 
55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from a recognized University. 

(C) Relaxation:- 
 A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks, at the 
Master’s level for SC/ST/Differently-abled (PH) candidates. Item No.02: 18 (eighteen) (UR-03, SC-05 & ST-10) posts of Lecturer 
(Group-‘B’ Gazetted) District Institute of Education and Training under Education (School) Department. Govt. of Tripura in the scale of Pay Band 3 of Rs.9,570-30,000/- with grade pay of Rs.3,500/- per month in the subjects /disciplines as mentioned below :

Educational and other Qualifications:- (A) Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with 45% marks from a recognized University, relaxable by 5% marks for SC/ST candidates. 
(B)(i) B. Ed from a recognized University except for the subjects Physical Education, Art and Music. 
(ii) 3 (three) years’ regular teaching experience in H.S (+2 stage) Schools. 
OR 
(ii) 3 (three) years teaching experience in an Institution of teacher education  
OR 
(B) M.Ed with Master Degree in the relevant Subject. 
(C) Knowledge of Bengali or Kak Barak. 

Item No.03: 07 (seven) (UR-03, SC-01 & ST-03) posts of Assistant  Professor (Group-A Gazetted) Sachin Debbarman Memorial Govt. Music College under Education (Higher) Department. Govt. of Tripura in the scale of pay of Rs.15,600- 39,100/- with AGP of Rs. 6,000/- per month in the subjects /disciplines

Essential Qualification: (i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an 
equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the 
master’s degree level, in the relevant subjects or an equivalent degree from an 
Indian/ Foreign recognized University. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the 
National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lecturers conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test 
accredited by the UGC. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D Degree in 
accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum standards and 
procedure for award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the 
requirement of minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and 
appointment of Asstt. Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ 
Institutions. 
(iii) NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such master’s programmes in 
disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted. 

Relaxation:- 
(i) A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and Master’s level of the 
Schedule caste/ Schedule tribe / Differently-abled (Physically and visually 
differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good 
academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility 
marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading 
system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are 
permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark 
procedures. 
(ii) A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the 
Ph.D Degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19
th

September, 1991. 
There is no branch-wise/discipline-wise reservation. As per the provision contained 
in the Reservation Act/Rules, posts cannot be segregated discipline-wise/branchwise from the cadre strength for identification of a particular post for particular 
category for candidates against discipline/branch. 
 The best candidates among the disciplines will be selected against 
unreserved posts on the basis of overall merit of the candidates. Reserved category 
candidates will be selected on the basis of overall merit of the candidates against 
vacant posts available for them as per reservation policy (Applicable for Item No. 
01 to 03). 

Item No.04: 15 (fifteen) (SC-03, ST-08 & UR-04) posts of Dental 
Surgeon (Group-A Gazetted) Grade-IV of Tripura Dental Service under Health & 
Family Welfare Department Govt. of Tripura in the scale of Pay Band-4 of                   
Rs. 13,575- 37,000/- with GP of Rs. 37,00/-. 
Educational Qualification:  Essential (i) A recognized Dental qualification 
included in Part-I & III of the Schedule of the Dentist Act, 1948. 
Preferable:- (i) Recognized Post- graduate degree as appended to this 
schedule. 
(ii) Working knowledge of Bengali. 
  
Item No.05: 30 (thirty) (SC-02, ST-22 & UR-6) posts of Veterinary 
Officer (TVS, Grade-V) (Group-B Gazetted) under Animal Resources Development 
Department Govt. of Tripura in the scale of pay band-3 of Rs. 9,570-30000/- with 
Grade Pay of Rs. 3500/-. 
Educational Qualification: Degree in Veterinary Science from recognized 
University. 
Age (Item No. 01 to 05): - Upper age limit 40 years as on 16.04.2013. 
Relaxable by 5(five) years in case of ST/SC candidates and Govt. Servants. 
Provided that the Govt. servants of SC/ST/ Differently able (PH) category shall not 
get this relaxation over and above the general relaxation of 5 (five) years available 
to them. 

Other Important information: 
(A) The number of post to be filled in may increase or decrease.  
(B) The last date of receiving application is 16-04-2013. The 
application(s) received after the closing date will not be entertained.  
(C) Prescribed Form availability:- The 4(four)-page  Application Form printed 
in colour font will be available from all Branches/Extension counters of 
Tripura Gramin Bank in the State of Tripura on deposit of the prescribed 
Recruitment Fee through the Special Deposit Slip to the Account No. 
14711 in favour of the Secretary, T.P.S.C. in the same Branch/Extension 
counter as a single window system without any extra charge/Commission 
from the candidates.  
In addition, the said prescribed Form printed in colour font (A4 size 90 
GSM paper) can also be down loaded from the Website 
http://www.tpsc.gov.in and in that case, the prescribed Recruitment Fee is to 
be paid to the Account No.31176521319 of the State Bank of India (core 
banking branches) in favour of the Secretary, Tripura Public Service 
Commission. The Bank deposit Receipt is to be affixed with the filled in 
application form in the specified Box on the 2
nd
 page of the form.  
(D) Rate of Recruitment Fees: -(i) Group-A Posts  Rs.200/- (Rupees two 
hundred) only for General Candidates and Rs.150/-(Rupees one hundred 
fifty) only for ST/SC/ BPL card holders/Physically Handicapped Candidates. 
(ii) Group-B Posts Rs.150/- (Rupees One Hundred and fifty) only for 
General Candidates and Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred) only for ST/SC/BPL 
card holders/Physically Handicapped Candidates. 
(E)  SC/ST Candidates of other States (not recognized by the Govt. of 
Tripura) should apply for unreserved vacancy as general candidate along with 
recruitment fee prescribed for general candidates.  
(F) Applicants must be in possession of the prescribed minimum qualification(s) 
for the post on the closing date for submission of application as mentioned in 
the advertisement.  
(G) Application in the prescribed form duly filled in by the candidate and 2(two) 
copies of recent stamp size photographs of the candidate affixed on the 
Application and Admit Card along with the copies of self attested 
certificates, self addressed envelope bearing postage stamp of        Rs. 5/- (rupees five) is to be submitted to the Reception Counter of the 
TPSC Secretariat by 5.00 PM of the closing date (16-04-2013). Applicants 
may obtain the acknowledgement including Receipt Number from reception 
counter of the Commission.  

The candidates, who will send application by post, are also required to attach 
to the application; a self-addressed Post-card indicating the Advertisement 
No. and name of the post applied for. Application will be acknowledged by 
the Commission by returning this card to the candidate after indicating the 
Registration No. allotted to the candidate. No separate acknowledgement 
other than this card will be sent to them.  
(H) Any application incomplete in any form or defective or containing statements 
which are incorrect or false or if there is any suppression of facts, is liable to 
be summarily rejected. If such discrepancies are detected even at the 
subsequent stage, it is also liable to be rejected. No correspondence or 
queries from applicants will be entertained. 
(I) Decision of the Commission as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate at 
any stage of the selection process shall be final.  
(J) Assessment and evaluation of the answer scripts done by the Commission 
shall be final and shall not be open to scrutiny by any external authority.  
(K) Date, time and venue of Screening Test/ Personality Test will be notified in 
due course.
