Survey of India (Department of Science & Technology) has issued
notification for recruitment of Topo Trainees Type 'A' against 118
vacancies in Survey of India at the GDC's/Directorate/Offices.Last Date
for submission of applications is 21st February 2015.

Scale of Pay : Rs.5200-20200 + Rs.1900 Grade Pay
Location : Anywhere in the Union of India
Age Limit : Age Limit is 18 to 27 years for General Candidates,18
to 32 years for SC/ST candidates and 18 to 30 years for OBC
candidates.The upper age limit is also relaxable for retrenched Central
Govt. employees/Departmental candidates/Ex-servicemen and other eligible
categories as per rules.
Education Qualification : Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with
Mathematics from a recognized University with minimum 45% marks for
General Category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC.
Methods of Selection : Selection will be based on written tests in
Mathematics, English, General Knowledge with Science to be held at the above
Centers under overall supervision of requisitioning authority. Stereoscopic Fusion Test and
personal interview will be conducted only in respect of those candidates who
qualify the written test. The concerned
Appointing Authority reserves the right to limit the number of candidates to be
called for the interview by finding an
appropriate cut off percentage of marks obtained by them in written test.
9. Rail/Bus
fare will be paid as per Govt. order to unemployed SC/ST candidates
8. Incomplete applications and those
forwarded in violation of these instructions shall be rejected without any
further notice/correspondence.
How to Apply : Interested & Eligible candidates may send
their application on prescribed form along attested copies of
certificates, mark sheets and testimonials duly signed to the Director
of the concerned Geo-Spatial Data Centre/ Directorate/Offices (Check
official notification below for address) on or before 21-02-2015.
