General Instructions


1) The period of Apprenticeship training would be for one year duration.

Degree Examination.
4) The short listing of candidate’s clearing the written test/interview of MRPL will be provisional

above in the engineering degree examination and also subject to passing the medical test at the
company’s Hospital at Mangalore.
5) Stipend payable to the Apprentices shall be `.20,000/ p.m.
6) The place of engagement as Graduate Apprentice Engineer will be at MRPL Refinery, Mangalore.
7) The engagement as Graduate Apprentice Engineer is only temporary and shall not lead to
absorption in the company. MRPL does not give any commitment on providing permanent/
temporary employment to Apprentices on successful completion of training period.
8) All other terms and conditions of selection of Apprentices shall be subject to Apprentice Act 1961.

Appearing Candidate:

Such candidates will be admitted to the examination, if otherwise eligible, but their admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation, if they do not produce proof of having passed the requisite qualifying examination on the date of Interview/Group Discussion. Training :
Selected candidates will be sent for one year ‘Post Graduate Diploma Course’ in “Metro Technology and Management” at IIT/Delhi. During the above course, the trainees will be paid a stipend of Rs.25000/- p.m. Accommodation facility for self only will be arranged by DMRC during the period of the course at IIT/Delhi.

Induction :
On successful completion of the course, the trainees will be inducted as Assistant Manager in DMRC in IDA pay scale Rs.20600-46500/-. Trainees who secure more than 75% marks during the PG Diploma Course will be granted two advance increments in Assistant Manager’s grade, while those who secure less than 75% marks will be granted only one advance increment at the time of induction. Such of candidates who do not complete the course or do not secure the minimum pass marks in the PG Diploma course at IIT/Delhi will not be inducted in DMRC. They will have to pay a bond amount of Rs.5 Lakhs to DMRC, towards training cost. Those candidates who successfully complete the course but do not join DMRC, their
candidature will lapse and they will also have to pay an amount of Rs. 5 Lakhs to DMRC as bond amount.
Seniority:
The inter-se seniority of the Executive Trainees in the concerned discipline at Assistant Manager Level shall be decided based on the overall performance at the Post Graduate Diploma Course at IIT/Delhi. Their seniority upon absorption will count retrospectively from the date of start of the course at IIT/Delhi.

Probation:After induction as Assistant Manager, they will be on probation for a period of two years. After successful completion of probation, they will be confirmed as per the policy of DMRC.

Bond & Notice Period time:Before joining the course, they will have to execute a Bond of Rs. 5 Lakh to serve DMRC for a period of five years (This is inclusive of the PG Diploma course period of one year). They
will also have to give a notice of three months (working) if they want to leave DMRC at any point of time during bond period.

Fees: The candidates will have to enclose a non-refundable crossed Demand Draft for Rs.300/- for General & OBC candidates and for Rs.50/- for SC/ST candidates (for processing cost only) along with application form drawn in favour of DELHI METRO RAIL CORPORATION LIMITED, payable at New Delhi indicating on the reverse of the DD, their name & address, telephone no., if any. SELECTION PROCEDURE
7. (a) The candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) based on their performance in Degree Course. If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his/her higher qualification will be considered for cut off. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence(Navy) reserves the
right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off percentage. SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore /Bhopal/ Coimbatore during Aug to Nov 2011.
(b) Stage I test consisting of Intelligence test, Picture Perception and Discussion test will be conducted on the second day of arrival at SSB. Candidate who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II tests comprising of Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview will last for 04 days.
Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 days).
(c) Candidates recomended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be appointed for training in order of All India Merit depending on the number of vacancies.
(d) Change of SSB venue for interview is not permissible.
(e) Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates be addressed to the President of the concerned SSB on receipt of call up letter and copy endorsed to Directorate of Manpower Planning & Recruitment (OI & R), Room No. 204, ‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhawan, IHQ-MoD(N), New Delhi-110011. 9. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Selected Candidates will be on a probation for 02 yrs from the date of reporting to the Indian Naval
Academy or the date of commencement of training whichever is later.Any candidate found married
or whomarrieswhile undergoing trainingwill be discharged.He/She shall be liable to refund full pay
& allowances drawn by him/her and any other expenditure incurred on him/her by the Govt. On
completion of training, ATC officers can be transferred anywhere for ATC duties.
