Name of the position/ Emoluments -
1. Research Scientist ‘C’ (Project) Consolidated emolument Rs. 50,000/- p.m. (No. of Posts -4)
Essentials - Applicant should possess a PhD / MD / MTech in any branch of Medicine / Science (life / chemical / physical / engg.) with an experience of 1 year / 2 years / 2 years. Applicants should have a proven / outstanding track record as evident from research publications and recognitions.
Desirables - Research experience in any of the following areas:
Recombinant DNA technology, protein expression in prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems, protein purification, protein engineering, antibody engineering, product validation, biobanking
Experience in development of serological immunoassays in in vitro diagnostics for the detection of different infections using novel reporter assay concepts will be beneficial Some experience in technology transfer activities will be preferred.
The candidates will work in the area of advanced diagnostics research and applications. Infectious, pediatric and cardiovascular diseases will be priority areas. The other areas will include bio-banking, novel reporter assay systems, automation, miniaturization, point-of-care tests and instrument design.

2. Fellowships (JRF/SRF) for PhD programme positions (No. of Posts - 5)

Essentials -
Candidates who have completed their masters in various fields of biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical sciences are eligible to apply. Candidates who possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or MBBS are also eligible to apply.
Applicants should submit a project proposal of about 1000 words in the field of advanced diagnostics research and application.
Desirables - Applicants should be highly motivated competent, wish to take advance diagnostics research and application as their PhD project and pursue their future scientific research in this area. Exposure to translational research with evidence of publication will be an advantage.
The candidates will carry out research primarily in India at CBDD/THSTI or its associated institutions (RCB, ICGEB, AIIMS, IIT, Delhi). Selected students will be required to go through a 3-6 months course work to be conducted jointly by CBDD and the partnering institutes. Opportunities for overseas training may be possible.
3. Administrative Officer (Personnel & Administration) (No. of Posts - 1)
Rs. 15600-39100 + GP 6600.
For Direct Recruitment:
Essential: Graduate with Post Graduate Diploma or MBA in Personnel Management / HRM from a recognized Institute / University with experience as shown in (i) or (ii) below (i) 5 years’ experience in PB-III with GP 5400/ above or 7 year experience in scale PB-II with GP- 4600/4800 in administration, establishment / accounts in a Govt. organization. (ii) 10 year experience in administration, establishment / accounts in an organization of repute.
Desirable: Knowledge of Government Rules & Regulations, Computer Application/Management Information System
For Deputation:
Officers under the Central or State Governments or Universities or recognised research institutions or public sector undertakings or statutory or autonomous organizations possessing the educational qualification specified for direct recruitment as above and;
(a) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or
(b) Possessing experience as defined in (i) above.
Responsible for administrative, establishment, personnel, academic and training, stores and purchase, and financial and accounting matters.
