1. (Vacancy No.11102001622) Five Senior Scientific Officer, Grade-II (Electronics) in the
Directorate General of Quality Assurance, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of
Defence. Out of five posts, one post is reserved for Scheduled Castes candidates and the remaining four
posts are Unreserved. Of the five posts, one post is reserved for Physically Handicapped persons with
disability viz. Hearing Handicapped (HH) or Orthopaedically Handicapped/Locomotor
Disability/Cerebral Palsy with One Leg Affected (OL). The posts are also suitable for Physically
Handicapped persons with disability viz. Hearing Handicapped (HH) or Orthopaedically
Handicapped/Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy with One Leg Affected (OL). QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL: A.EDUCATIONAL: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics/Electronics & Communication
Engineering or M.Sc. in Physics with specialization in Electronics or equivalent from a recognized
University or equivalent. B.EXPERIENCE: Two years practical experience in
Production/Development/Quality Assurance in Electronics and Communication. DESIRABLE :
Knowledge of German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese Language. DUTIES: To prepare
specifications and vetting of documents pertaining to procurement of items/stores; Technical evaluation,
testing, inspection and Quality Assurance activities of equipments, systems/sub-systems and stores
indented by the Services pertaining to the relevant discipline; Creation of test facilities as per various
laid down standards/specifications; Value engineering studies of items/stores; Product improvement,
Indigenisation and development work on systems/products; Interaction with the Industry and
preparation of capacity /capability reports; Technical documentation. Administration of test labs.
2. (Vacancy No.11102002622) Nine Assistant Director (Safety) in the Directorate General Factory
Advice Service and Labour Institutes, Mumbai, Ministry of Labour & Employment. Out of nine
posts, two posts are reserved for Scheduled Castes candidates, three posts are reserved for Other
Backward Classes candidates and remaining four posts are Unreserved. QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL: A. EDUCATIONAL: Degree in Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University or
equivalent. B. EXPERIENCE: Two years’ practical experience in handling various aspects of
industrial safety in a factory, dock, ship or a technical institution/organization. DESIRABLE:
Experience in planning, organising and coordinating of research, education and training activities
pertaining to industrial safety/dock safety. DUTIES: To assist in carrying out surveys and research
studies in the field of industrial safety. Preparation of safety literature, conducting educational and
training programmes; Dealing with matters concerned with Factories Act and Model Rules; Work in
connection with the enforcement of Dock Workers (Safety, Health and Welfare) Act, 1986 and the Rules
and Regulations framed thereunder; To carry out safety surveys in ports and conducting training
programmes for the various levels of supervisory personnel and dock workers. HQ : Mumbai, Kolkata,
Chennai, Kanpur and Faridabad but liable to serve anywhere in India. ANY OTHER CONDITIONS:
Candidate recruited to the post will be covered by the new Contributory Pension Scheme and the
candidate selected is required to join immediately.
3. (Vacancy No.11102003622) One Assistant Director (Safety) in the Directorate General Factory
Advice Service and Labour Institutes, Mumbai, Ministry of Labour & Employment. The post is
Unreserved. QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL: A. EDUCATIONAL: Degree in Civil Engineering
of a recognized University or equivalent. B. EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience in design and
construction of buildings and other structures. DESIRABLE: Experience in designing welfare buildings
and working class dwellings. DUTIES, HQ AND ANY OTHER CONDITIONS: Same as in Item No.2
above.
4. (Vacancy No.11102004622) Two Assistant Director (Safety) in the Directorate General Factory

eleven posts, one post each pertains to Hindi , Manipur, Bengali, Telugu, Gujarati language and two
posts each pertain to English, Assamese , Kashmiri language, as all the eleven posts are to be filled up
language-wise (see relevant Note below). Of the eleven posts, two posts are reserved for Physically
Handicapped persons from any community and pertain to Assamese and Kashmiri language respectively
and of these two posts, one post is reserved for Physically Handicapped persons with

EXPERIENCE: Three years’ experience of journalistic, publicity or publication work in a Government
Department or any Newspaper/News agency. NOTE : The candidate must have studied the concerned
Languages i.e. Hindi or Manipuri or Bengali or Telugu or Gujarati or English or Assamese or Kashmiri
Language upto Secondary School level. DUTIES : The officers are required to prepare press notes,
publicity materials, editorial material and analysis of Press Comments on current topics, compilation of
news bulletins and reporting of news for broadcasting, monitoring of news bulletins by foreign
broadcasting stations. Organizing exhibitions, writing scripts/captions, maintenance of register on
newspapers in India. Preparation of research/reference paper and background note in the fields of history,
economics and current events for use of press, radio, writers etc.
