INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSTS



One scientist – sb(nd) in the national test house, Department Of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. SCIENTIST- SB(ND)
The post is reserved for OBC candidates. The post is also suitable for Physically Handicapped Persons (viz. Orthopaedically Handicapped with one leg affected).

QUALIFICATIONS :

ESSENTIAL : A. EDUCATIONAL : Master’s Degree in Physics(Pure/Applied) or degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Electrical Engineering from a recognised University or equivalent.

B. EXPERIENCE : 3 years’ practical experience in non-destructive / metallographic techniques as employed in testing/evaluation/failure investigation of materials.

DESIRABLE :
i) Site in-charge Certificate of Radiation from Bhaba Atomic Research Centre level or I/II/III certificate in one or more of non-destructive testing methods from any recognized Society/Institute.
ii) Knowledge of welding technology.
DUTIES : Overall in-charge of laboratory, scrutinizing of test requests, allocate the samples to scientific officers/assistants, supervise day –to-day work and sort out technical and administrative problems, checks the draft test certificates and sign the final test certificate on behalf of the director. HQ : Kolkata/Mumbai/Chennai/Jaipur/Guwhati and Ghaziabad.

Recruitment of one post of Lecturer in Pharmacy in Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh. (Reference UPSC Advertisement No.20, Item No.7 published in various leading Newspapers/Employment News on 28-10-2006). It is notified for general information that the recruitment to the said post has been cancelled.

PROBATION: The persons selected will be appointed on probation as per rule.

NOTE : Candidates with disabilities[ as indicated against Item(s)] can apply to the respective posts even if the post is not reserved for them. However, such candidates will be considered for selection to such post by general standard of merit. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of relevant disability shall alone be eligible for the benefit of reservation and other relaxations as permissible under the rules.
